Janapriya Association Charitable Trust (Reg.), Bengaluru ("we", "the Trust") runs janpriya.org. This page explains what personal information we collect from members and visitors, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Membership details: name, mobile number, email address, age, profession and address, and a password (kept securely and never visible to anyone).
- Birthday (optional): month and day only. We do not ask for or store your year of birth.
- Technical data: a sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in, and basic information used to keep the site secure.
How we use it
- To create and manage your membership and let you sign in and update your profile.
- To send you a welcome message, event announcements and confirmations, and a birthday greeting if you gave your birthday.
- To let Trust administrators manage memberships.
- To keep the site secure.
We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who processes it for us
We use trusted service providers to host the website and to deliver email, SMS and WhatsApp messages. Your name, phone number or email address is shared with them only for that purpose.
Only Trust administrators can see member details, and only to manage the Trust.
How long we keep it
We keep your membership details while you are a member, until you ask us to delete them.
Your choices
- You can view and correct your details after signing in under Membership.
- You can add, change or remove your birthday at any time.
- You can ask us to delete your membership or stop messages by writing to the address below.
